The Acropolis Museum and best gyros in the city

I was wearing my not so new but so gorgeous little pink dress on my third day in Athens. And as it did help me to fight the hotness outside , still we tried to spend most our time somewhere inside. And that leads us to our next destination - The Acropolis museum. I have been to many museums around the world and this one did left me very very good impression. First thing first, it was so huge and white and built in such contemporary way that I think gives a nice unique touch for such an old and grumpy city like Athens. Check the photos and the video material to see for yourselves. It wasn't just about museum being like place for item exposition it was more like a stylistic place for people to be and talk and just take a walk and enjoy spending their time there looking at those ancient ruins and Greek sculptures. The experience was well sought out. And I totally loved it. Another thing that was nicely thought of was the archeologists. I mean, the ancient Greek sculptures, let's be honest most of the time are just ruins and it's hard to understand sometimes just by looking at it. So there is not only  text written on the little tables, but the professionals who can tell you even more stuff. I overheard the little chit-chat and the woman was talking about the paints and painting techniques of the sculptures. I attached the photo below for you to see, how paints looked like at all. So what we do know is that Greek sculptures are made from stone like marble, yes, but did you guys knew that all of them were brightly coloured like thousand years ago. Is just that over time all the paint faded away while leaving just plain sculptures.
In the museum was also nice cafe terrace with a great view, however as it didn't have a conditioner we refused to take a seat. Just went out there to take some pictures of the view and headed to another place to eat. Atitamos. We checked them online, it was more like a hidden gem located in the unfamiliar region, away from touristy crowds, we would never have found it on our own if not for the recommendations online. Even though the region was calm, the place was hella busy, full of people inside and outside which said a lot about the ratings of the place. We ordered Greek salad for us to share as it's a must while you're in Athens. With the main dishes we didn't choose right as the ordered portions were so huge as meant to eat for two and both I and Sergei ordered a chicken based dishes:D  which was nice at first, but soon I got bored with the chicken and craved for something more interesting. Conclusion, guys! If you ever go to this place, better order completely different dishes, keep in mind they all going to be in huge portions, so just share between yourselves. That way it's gonna be an unforgettable journey of different tastes of Greek cuisine which is rich and not about chicken at all... We also ordered a homemade wine and took one extra bottle for takeaway cause it was just perfect..
