Copenhagen, Denmark

Everything happens by accident in Copenhagen

Have you ever wondered if  were to have just one day to spend in one specific city , where you have never ever been before and pretty much know nothing about? But in that one day you are urged to do literally Everything!>? Well that's me in Copenhagen.
And even though I had four days to spend there I did feel the pressure that I must visit every single place there and eat in the best restaurants and see the best sights. however as we all know it's just a typical traveler's disorder as I like to call it. It's in possible to do everything in one day unfortunately, but you can still do a lot ! And in this post I will show you what I did on my first day in Copenhagen to make the start of the trip just unforgettable!
We landed in 8 in the morning, checked in our amazing hostel, which I will talk about later in another post, hurried to nearest Starbucks to get that morning coffee that we were both dying for since waking up. It cost 8 euro for us, at first we though the barista was pulling a prank, but later on, it turned out to be true. As we cached the wi-fi, we were checking the first location to kick on for the first outfit posts. It happened to be the Nyhavn. As Laura was checking the directions I was googling the standard of living in Denmark, and trying to find out why the hell my coffee was so expensive. Later on, we moved to the port which happened to be around 25 min away if go by foot. Along the way we passed the centre streets full of beautiful buildings, churches, shops, boutiques and restaurants. The market and the aroma of the street food, told me I need to eat something. We shoot our outfits finally, the location and went to look for the foodie spot to get our first Danish meal experience.
The Californian Kitchen accidentally happened to be on our way, and the funny thing is, that before in the Victoria Secret we met one Lithuanian girl from Vilnius who recommended this place to us, telling it has the vegan and gluten free menu. The girl was right. It was super delicious on top of that!

The rest of the day was full of discoveries and fresh walks through the streets  that were not the main tourist ones but the ones that has that Danish feeling aka sophistication, tidyness and calmness. We did visit some boutiques that were mostly interior design and were full of amazing little decorations and furniture. I fell in love with the Moomins mug collection from Finland. I read so many books with those characters when I was a child that I really wanted to purchase it right away. Going on further and further, I did miss some local clothing boutiques, but I didn't mind it too much about it.

At the second part of the day we headed to our first artsy place to feed up our souls and minds. The David collection was probably one of the best galleries that I have ever visited (and I have visited a lot!!). Maybe due to the Islamic collection that they got there, which was unusual sight for me as in Europe we rarely get to see something like that. The exposed items were super old and there was a lot of information that I received that evening, maybe even too much. The Final destination was another place to eat and it again happened by accident that we knew about the Hungry Dane from the beginning but we just passed it and were walking walking making turns just doing everything to find the perfect dinner spot and either it was too expensive either it didn't look appealing and too touristy and then, out of the blue we happened to appear next to the lovely cozy burger place. We ordered to share the gluten-free burger with duck and the sweet potato fries for the evening and the ginger beer to make it perfect.
Enjoy the photos below, take a look at my outfit, make sure to tell me what you thing, and of course make sure to  keep in mind these places if you planning to go to Denmark. I wish you all good evening and good emotions only. Spread love .
