Vienna, Austria

Viennese afternoon

Today I would like to ask you one question. What's the most beautiful place you have ever been to?  Is it in Europe? or maybe in Asia? Is it your country? Maybe the garden at your grandma's or just the cafe where you always go just around the corner?
Whenever I get asked such question, I always answer the same thing: For me the whole word is a big and messy place. Sometimes it's loud, chaotic, sometimes it's just monotonic and depressing. But the one thing I can do well is to see beauty in everything.A cup of coffee with brown golden shade of colour for my breakfast or the way one person in the street looks at the person he is meeting just on the other side of the street.
These all feelings of expressions of beauty get even stronger when I find myself travelling in foreign countries. Everything I see , and feel is so new and therefore exciting. In some countries I enjoy a cup of coffee and a good meal, in other country the beauty is all about the architecture. And that's where I would like to link you to today. The beauty of architecture and coffee drinking culture in Vienna.
Just how amazing and so extremely beautiful this place is? How much beauty in every corner, the gothic churches and sculptures are my favorite things there.
I have been to Vienna first time in 2011 (see the post here) and since that time I was sure that the city is one of the most magnificent cities in Europe that I have been to. The funny thing is that I have spent there only 2 hours back at that time, but it didn't hold me even a little bit from adoring it and my promise to return back in the near future.
So I did. 5 years later I finally saw the same beautiful streets the architecture, and due to the fact that we stayed there for almost a week, while living in a typical Viennese student flat in the center, we also got to see the beauty of the morning atmosphere, with just opened bakeries, still empty and the smell of croissants and cherry pies. The beauty of beautiful Viennese-German dialect when we overheard our neighbors speaking on our way to the flat, the beauty of sachertorte and apple strudel with my Austrian espresso on my late breakfast at 4pm and beauty, beauty, beauty.
Now I would like to share somr beauty with you. Here are some photos from the first day there. When me, Laura and Adell landed there, we straight away got to look for one of the nicest cafes there to have our first Viennese afternoon brunch with some amazing pasta and some of the most popular cakes (according to the waiter). It was rather a great choice as one was super creamy on the inside, the other firmer very rich in chocolate and had even been nominated for being the best in the whole Vienna (of it's kind). So a quick tip for you when you in Vienna will try to get the best Viennese cakes experience, be smart, order a few to share. This won't keep you too full and will also leave some space for experimenting while looking for that perfect Austrian dessert.  Now don't want be too much with those cakes, so will leave some place recommendations fot the next article.
Love you all and good night.
