Ufa, Republic of Bashkortostan, Russia

A few days in Ufa

Good evening dear blog readers. My Lithuanian readers probably already know about my new blog project Evamacij.com which is the new private content diary that I am currently working on and putting all my heart in it. (Quite slowly, but getting there..) The new page , unlike my spaventaremoda.com is bigger and more personal as I am trying to reduce the number of advertisement and promotions on my blog and make it more personal to me. This, however, doesn't mean that I am not open for any kind of collaborations ((as I AM)), however it's going to be thoroughly filtrated and therefore just good good good things going to be featured .
For now don't want to put too much information about coming plans, cause the post is not about that anyway.
Today my dears, I wish to share with you the experiences to me that happened during last summer, year 2017 during my trip to unforgettable Ufa, capital of Bashkortorstan. The city is located just at the end end of European part of Russia, close to the Ural mountains.
I bet, the first thing that comes to mind is ~ why? Why would anyone would want to visit place like that?
Well, it happened to be so that together with my sister, we decided to visit the birth town of our course mate.  Nothing to excpect about such place, we took off from Vilnius airport to Moscow, met there Adell, and after around 2 to3 more hours of flying landed in the Ufa airport. Straight ahead of that, we were greeted by the grandfather of our friend and taken to the big house located in such beautiful nature.. That's one of the mains things I remember looking by the window on our way there. The calmness and beauty everythere . For the record, Ufa is one of the macropolitan cities of Russia having population of more than 1 million people. The city is mostly inhabited by the tatar, bashkir minorities which makes it quite an exotic city to be in.
The architecture a bit reminded me of that in Lithuania (never mind the streets, which were a lot bigger in size though) with a central-asian feeling to it. Sounds quite strange, doesn't it?
When I think about it, it wouldn't be me if I would just start my visit to Russia from Moscow, and St Petersburg. No no, I just go straight to Russia, to some big big family of tatar people. Yes, that does sound more like me. Wasn't that extreme to try the traditional dish with horse meat. Decided to miss that part for now. however we actually did some horse riding on actual Bashkirian horses. This was one of the memories that I will never forget.
Another fun thing to remember, was driving 3 hours to some entertainment /spa park to swim with our little ship somewhere in river next to Urals. we had a sleepover party in the same ship and next morning were already heading back to Ufa.

Another fun things to do /to see in Ufa:

Fountain Seven girls. Seven girls is a beautiful legend-tale about seven bahkirian girls taken to captivity and about them running away.  The best time to visit during night time, when the fountain shines and music in the streets starts to play.

Statue of the Salavat Yulaev. This one must see city part as the statue is huge in size located on the hill is definitely one of the must see things in the city. The beautiful view of Ufa captivates you just below. There is also nice events going on everywhere on the streets and ice cream stands where you can get some cold drinks and icecream on hot summer day and enjoy the beautiful views.

Friendship Monument. Another statue built 400 years after Bashkiria's voluntary accession to Russia. The Russian man on one side and the Bashkirian male on the other portrays the endless friendship between two nations and peoples. So sad, haven't got any picture of this one as passed it on our way by car,

Bashkirian honey
One of the things apart from horse meat that you can try in Ufa is definitely their honey. You can get it in every shop and even take it as souvenirs home. The bashkirian honey is one of the things that Ufa is known for.

Traditional clothes and arrow shooting
This was one funny thing to remember. I would definitely recommend to find some photo houses or even more like tents where you can take pictures for free with your own camera while wearing traditional garments. The clothe however cost about 3 euros to wear.
In the other tent or specific shooting area outside you can also try shooting with arrows in traditional Bashkirian way.

I hope my trip to one of the most mystical parts in Europe will make you spice up you upcoming trave plans. One last thing to advice you - strike for the unexpected, delete all the made up ideas and mindset about the places you have never been to and don't just take it out of your list just because you heard someone else talk about it in a negative way. Go everywhere, especially where you think you will never go to..  This is all for today my loves. For some more views feel free to check short video below about the Ufa trip.

Love you all and goodnight.
